The Outdoor Leadership program was developed by Anna DeMers, 4-H Youth Development Educactor, in response to the need for a youth leadership program in Washburn County. This program teaches youth hands-on leadership skills in an engaging environment. The leadership skills are transferred beyond the outdoors into schools, communities, and the workplace.
Birchwood Blue Hills Charter School students participated in this leadership program. Participants rated their experience highly. In every category, students improved their knowledge, as well as the ability to use what they learned in leadership situations. Click here to view the post-program evaluation.
